You can only declare the birth in the municipality where your baby is born. So, that is not necessarily the own residence. When you give birth in a hospital in a different municipality, the parents are obligated to declare their baby in that municipality. Make an appointment for this beforehand!
If you have given birth in the Jeroen Bosch Ziekenhuis in Den Bosch, it is possible to do the birth declaration in that hospital. The civil servant is present for this from monday until friday from 9.00 until 12.00.
To do the birth declaration, you need a birth certificate from your midwife or the hospital. You also need to bring your identification and possibly your certificate of recognition or wedding- or partnership booklet, if you want to have your child added. The own municipality will automatically be notified of the birth.
